The function of charging pile is similar to that of fuel dispenser, which can be fixed on the ground or wall. It is usually installed in public places (public buildings, shopping malls, public parking lots, etc.) and parking lots or charging stations in residential areas. It can charge various types of electric vehicles matching different voltage standards. The input terminal of the charging pile is directly connected with the AC power grid, and the output terminal is equipped with a plug for charging the electric vehicles.

Charging piles generally provide two charging modes: normal charging and fast charging. You are allowed to select the charging mode and print the charging data on the Human–Computer Interaction interface equipped with the charging pile. And you can also check the charging capacity, cost, time and other data on the display of charging pile.
